After being abandoned for many years, the Villa was fully restored and restructured by the Fondazione Parchi Monumentali Bardini e Peyron in conjunction with the Fondazione CR Firenze and reopened to the public in 2006, with new areas for events and exhibitions, thus rediscovering its role as a venue for art and culture. The building houses the Museo Pietro Annigoni devoted to the eclectic artist who, in the fertile period between the two world wars, experimented and freed up his creativity in drawing, painting, engraving, fresco and the art of medal engraving. Other areas host successful temporary exhibitions.
