The “Queen of the Ville Venete”, one of the most important sites in the region, is situated on the banks of the Brenta canal midway between Padua and Venice. The majestic villa commissioned by the aristocratic Pisani family, which has hosted doges, kings and emperors in its 114 rooms, is now a national museum housing furnishings and works of art from the 18th and 19th centuries, including Gianbattista Tiepolo’s “The Apotheosis of the Pisani Family” frescoed on the ceiling of the Ballroom. The park with its extraordinarily scenographic impact enchants visitors with its highly original architectural monuments such as the Coffee House and the Exedra, with its famous verdant labyrinth and with its unparalleled collections of citrus plants in the Orangerie and of plants and flowers in the Tropical Greenhouses.
